Big thanks to everyone who came by the Craft Council Craft Fair this past week! I'm looking forward to being at these two great events this coming weekend: Pink Eye Autumn Art Sale on Saturday and the annual Printers' Fair on Sunday. Both are happening at The Rocket (upstairs in the studio space), Water Street, St. John's. I'll have my t-shirts and linocuts at both these events.

https://www.facebook.com/events/1252727028086666/
https://www.facebook.com/events/925758634167355/John Andrewshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04422209488977939386noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6476933725455500521.post-33312952510506438252015-11-08T19:53:00.000-03:302015-11-08T19:53:05.243-03:30Tuxedo final

I finished printing the second colour on the "Tuxedo" linocut earlier today and promptly continued cutting the plate for the third and final colour. Here's a proof. I'm happy with it. So the next 24 hours will be a frenzy of printing so I can do packaging on Tuesday and have them ready for the Craft Fair on Wednesday evening (Jack Byrne Arena, Torbay, Nov. 11-15). I haven't done a final tally yet but I'm expecting to have around 50 prints in the run.John Andrewshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04422209488977939386noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6476933725455500521.post-24769778620108964202015-11-02T22:11:00.000-03:302015-11-02T22:12:48.742-03:30Tuxedo linocut, 2nd colour

Sometimes you've got to stop everything and do something off the wall. This is one of those somethings. I'm calling it "Big City Reflections #1". It's copper and aluminum on masonite, 11"x14". No antiquing on this one... polished and buffed au naturel.John Andrewshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04422209488977939386noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6476933725455500521.post-6003522357541591102015-09-17T20:59:00.000-02:302015-09-17T20:59:22.416-02:30Cartoons

Two of my copper pieces (shown above) have been selected for the Craft Council of NL Annual Members' Exhibit which opens at 2pm this Saturday, June 27 (2nd floor of Devon House). On the same day, I'll be a vendor at Some Good Market, Canonwood Hall (St. Thomas' parish hall) on Military Road... just a few minutes walk from Devon House so you could take in both events! These copper pieces, Duelling Squid and Fox Skull, are 11" x 14", framed and limited edition (I'm only making 6 of each design... each one is numbered accordingly). I might have another Duelling Squid with me at the market (working on it today) but you'll find both at the exhibit. Please drop by and check them out! At the market I will also have my usual wares: linocut prints, silk-screened t-shirts, painting reproductions and smaller copper-tooled pieces.John Andrewshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04422209488977939386noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6476933725455500521.post-51414201578044572302015-06-24T20:43:00.001-02:302015-06-24T20:43:30.155-02:30Tuckamore etching

I couldn't resist taking part in both of these events this weekend even though they conflict. Manufactured Right here is at the Remax Centre Saturday and Sunday.
